= (Assignment)

The Assignment operator is perhaps the simplest and most commonly used of all of the operators. It is used within a variable, for example, to assign the following variable to the preceeding variable name. Examine the syntax below to see how it is used.

syntax:

variableName = value

EXAMPLE

variableOne = 20 & 30;

The example shows the assignment operator being used within a variable, named variableOne, the contents of which is a simple AND operation between two numbers.
